Georgia Tech quarterback Justin Thomas was injured in the first quarter of the Yellow Jackets’ game against Miami Saturday.
Thomas led Tech’s first possession of the game, a 62-yard touchdown drive, but backup Matthew Jordan came out for the second series. Thomas was taken to the locker room and later reemerged. The nature of the injury was not disclosed, but he moved slowly on the sideline and turned his upper body gingerly. Thomas has started every game this season and, prior to Saturday, had played every offensive snap but two in the Jackets’ past eight games and has taken a lot of hits.
