When the Florida State Seminoles lined up for a game winning field goal on Saturday night at Bobby Dodd Stadium every Georgia Tech fan in the stands and watching on television had to be thinking: what are the odds that the Yellow Jackets will lose two games in a row on identical last minute 56 yard kicks? While I’m certain that some student majoring in statistics could come up with the answer, my hunch is that it’s closer to the odds of winning a power ball lottery as opposed to calling heads or tails on a coin flip.
