The Jackets, winners of three straight and five of their last six are playing their best football in almost two years including a 27-21 victory over Miami on Saturday night. The Cavaliers are also having a strong season, clinching their first winning season since 2011. Overall, Virginia has just two winning seasons since 2007.
The 6.5-point line is the biggest line in favor of the Yellow Jackets against a Power 5 opponent since last season when they were a seven-point favorite over Duke. The Jackets would end up falling 43-20 to the Blue Devils.
Last season, the Yellow Jackets were a similar favorite over the Cavaliers.
