Brant Mitchell:
Mitchell had a solid day with three tackles, but his biggest contribution came in the first quarter when he secured a sack of Virginia quarterback Bryce Perkins for a safety that proved to be one of the most crucial stops of the entire game. The defense had a tough time getting pressure on Perkins for the rest of the game which makes this play all that more special.
Juanyeh Thomas:
Following the Brant Mitchell Safety, Thomas set up as the return man for the free kick and returned said kick 77 yards for the first touchdown for Georgia Tech in the game and the only touchdown the Jackets would have in the first half.
