Georgia Tech kicks off the upcoming season in Atlanta Monday night versus old Southeastern Conference foe Tennessee in the new Mercedes-Benz Stadium in a game that seems to have helped boost season ticket sales.
Tech’s athletics department announced on Monday that the school’s allotment of seven-game season ticket packages were all gone. This includes tickets to all games that the Yellow Jackets play in Atlanta; six at Bobby Dodd Stadium and the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Classic a few blocks away.
The Jackets sold all 30,000 of their original allotment of tickets to the season opener, and then sold 5,000 more after requesting an additional batch, according to Georgia Tech Athletics.
