In recruiting, college programs look to build strong relationships with high school coaches and their respective high schools. The result of some of these relationships is help to build a pipeline from the high school to the college for top prospects.
Right now, it appears one of Georgia Tech’s best relationships is with Ensworth High School out of Nashville, Tennessee. Despite being a stones toss away from the SEC’s Vanderbilt, Georgia Tech has had recent recruiting success with the Nashville high school, pulling two top targets out of there now in back-to-back cycles. In the 2018 recruiting cycle, the Jackets landed four-star corner Jaylon King and on Wednesday, they landed another cornerback, this time in high three-star Wesley Walker.
