One of the more interesting debates that will be rekindled over the next few weeks is the idea of the early December signing period.
For those who don’t know, the 2018 recruiting cycle will be the first recruiting cycle to allow football players to allow players to sign prior to National Signing Day even if they don’t choose to enroll early at their respective schools.
One of the consensus feelings is that a lot of schools, especially powerhouse programs will begin to “force” players to sign during the early December signing period. If a player chooses not to sign during the early signing period, coaching staffs will act as though the scholarship that the player is currently committed to is once again up for grabs.
