Georgia Tech will be hosting three-star dual threat quarterback John Holcombe Jr. (Humble, TX – Summer Creek) on Friday according to the high school senior’s twitter profile.
Currently, the Humble, Texas native holds four scholarship offers according to his 247Sports page including offers from two FBS schools in Illinois and SMU.
While it’s still early in his recruitment, it wouldn’t be crazy to say that Illinois could be the favorite for Holcombe. Not only were the Illini the first FBS school to offer the Texas quarterback but he is the younger brother of Illinois tight end Zarrian Holcombe who is entering his redshirt freshman season at Illinois.
