The Georgia Tech football staff was able to pluck an offensive lineman from the top program in South Carolina that also produced former college football star Jadeveon Clowney.
On Friday, South Pointe High School’s Larry Dowdy received an offer from the Georgia Tech football program and just one day later, the Palmetto State native ended his recruitment and committed to Georgia Tech.
An unranked offensive lineman according to 247Sports, Dowdy had received 11 other scholarship offers from a combination of mid-major conference teams and FCS teams. The Jackets were Dowdy’s first major conference program offer.
