The Virginia Cavaliers enter season two under former BYU head coach Bronco Mendenhall. Mendenhall, took over the UVA job last offseason but it appears that the rebuild process may be a little bit more than originally expected by the Utah native.
In his first season, the Cavs struggled mightily picking up just two wins on the season. Those two wins were against Central Michigan and Duke. That being said, the season was going to be a struggle from the start as the Richmond Spiders defeated Virginia 37-20 to open up the season.
As the season progressed, Virginia did show progress including almost pulling out an upset victory over Louisville and losing a close game to Wake Forest.
