Geoff Collins has added his first transfer as the Yellow Jackets flopped Vanderbilt transfer Jared Southers from Temple on Saturday night. The former Commodore made the decision while making a visit to The Flats on Saturday night.
Southers, a former three-star recruit in the 2015 recruiting class leaves the Commodores after three seasons. The New Jersey native will bring plenty of experience to the Yellow Jackets appearing in 28-games in his three years including six starts in 2018.
In those 28 games, Southers was quiet versatile as he saw playing time at guard, tackle, and tight end (as a blocker).
