The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets received a total of 39 votes in Sunday’s week seven poll. Despite the bye week, the Georgia Tech football team is inching closer to being in the AP top 25 for the first time since 2015 when they were ranked 20th. The Jackets lost back-to-back games in week four and five of 2015 to Notre Dame and Duke. With coming up short on Sunday, the Jackets haven’t been ranked in the AP Top 25 for 34 consecutive weeks.
The Yellow Jackets are coming off their lone bye week of the season after defeating the North Carolina Tar Heel 33-7.
