Georgia Tech Football: Honoring the Seniors - S Demond Smith

Coming out of high school, 3-star Demond Smith committed to Georgia Tech Jan. 16, 2011, just two days after his official visit to the Flats.

Smith played quarterback at his high school (Monroe Area High School) and was pretty good at running the ball. His senior season, he rushed for 1,795 yards and 25 touchdowns. He also had 13 carries for at least 50 yards. Passing the ball, Smith added in 431 yards and five touchdowns. He was named all-state and team MVP as a senior and all-region twice.

Smith redshirted in his first year on the Flats and participated on the scout team.
