Georgia Tech sophomore b-back Dedrick Mills was named an Atlantic Coast Conference Preseason First-Team selection for 2017 on Tuesday.
As a true freshman in 2016, Mills saw action in nine games (seven starts), racking up a total of 771 rushing yards on 152 attempts. He averaged 5.1 yards and scored a dozen touchdowns on the ground and another through the air.
Mills saved his best for last for Tech’s bowl game versus Kentucky, rushing for 169 yards on 31 attempts. Both of those stats were career highs for the Waycross native.
