True freshman defensive back Wesley Walker is one of several touted defensive backs Georgia Tech has brought in, in recent cycles. The 6-foot-0, 187-pounds defensive back was the Jackets second highest rated commitment in the 2019 class only after running back Jamious Griffin. Walker was ranked by 247Sports composite rankings as a top-600 prospect nationally, a top-60 defensive back in the country, and a top-20 player in the Volunteer State.
Walker is also one of four defensive backs joining the Jackets from the 2019 season with cornerbacks Jordan Huff and Kenan Johnson joining the program alongside safety Jeremiah Smith.
