Junior defensive back Jaytlin Askew enters 2019 looking to take his game to another level. After appearing in 21 games over the last two seasons, Askew enters 2019 looking to contend for a starting spot in the Jackets secondary that looks promising, returning a ton of experience and talent.
Last season, Askew played in 11 games for the Yellow Jackets, recording 26 tackles including one tackle for a loss. Out of those 11 games that he appeared in, five of those were starts. It was a rather strong sophomore campaign for Askew last season as he recorded no tackles as a true freshman despite appearing in 10 games, mostly in special teams roles.
