Atlanta native Avery Showell finished up his redshirt sophomore season for the Georgia Tech football program. The former three-star recruit out of Cartersville came to The Flats after being one of Trevor Lawrence’s favorite weapons on offense during their high school career. That led some to believe there was a chance that Showell would see time on offense in 2019.
We’ll be honest, we’re not sure if Showell did play on offense in 2019, if he did, please let us know. That being said, Showell was seen quite a bit on the defensive side of the ball in 2019 and played in 10 games for the Jackets this past season.
