A familiar opponent, the Yellow Jackets took on the Vaqueros last season and came away with a 10-point victory. Texas-Rio Grande Valley returns to the Thrillerdome in 2018-19. Senior guard Nick Dixon will be one to watch when the Vaqueros come to town on November 21st. Last season, Dixon had a 23-point effort against the Yellow Jackets, the only Vaquero with double-digit points in the game.
Texas-Rio Grande Valley is your average mid-major program, nothing too special but they can play major conference teams hard at times. Last season, the Vaqueros not only played the Yellow Jackets hard but also put up a decent fight against Texas A&M hen he Aggies were ranked in the top-10.
