Georgia Tech freshman guard Michael Devoe may not be ready for the beginning of the season, as the former four-star recruit is recovering from a toe injury. According to CBS college basketball write Jon Rothstein, Devoe will be sidelined for a couple of weeks before being reevaluated.
Expected to be a heavy contributor as a freshman this season, Devoe was the Jackets highest rated recruit in the 2018 recruiting class. The 6-foot-4, 175-pound combo guard out of Orlando, Florida committed to the Jackets over 19 other schools including Virginia and Miami.
247Sports ranked the Orlando native as the 51st best recruit in the country, the 11th best point guard, and the seventh best out of the state of Florida.
