Georgia Tech and Duke put on a terrific show on Friday afternoon. The two teams fought for a spot in the ACC Tournament semifinals with the winner facing NC State.
The Blue Devils took an early 3-0 lead on Friday over Connor Thomas and the Yellow Jackets, picking up the three runs on three hits and a walk. The Jackets however battled back in the bottom of the first frame as Tristin English hit a two-run bomb to left field. The home run cut the Blue Devils lead to just one and would be the start of a big day for English.
