Georgia Tech Baseball: Trevor Craport drafted by Baltimore Orioles

The first Yellow Jacket to be drafted in the 2017 MLB Draft is infielder Trevor Craport. The Norcross, Georgia native was selected with the 338th overall pick in the 11th round on Wednesday. Craport, best described as a utility player saw most of his time at third base this past season.

This past season Craport started in all 55 games for the Yellow Jackets with a majority of them coming at third base. Craport hit at a .336/.399/.502 slash for the Jackets this past season with five home runs and 30 RBI.

Originally expected to play with the Cotuit Kettleers on a tempory contract this summer in the Cape Cod League, Craport will have a month to decide if he will be signing with Baltimore or will be returning to Tech for his senior season.
