Like with many of the top historical programs in college baseball, Georgia Tech must deal with incoming recruits potentially not enrolling at Tech due to being drafted in the MLB Draft.
In recent years, Tech’s recruiting classes have taken a hit due to players being drafted. In last year’s MLB Draft, outfielder Taylor Tramell, the crown jewel of Danny Hall’s recruiting class was picked in the first round by the Cincinnati Reds and later signed. The year before, Hall and the coaching staff saw catcher Tyler Stephenson get selected seventh overall by the Reds. These are just some of the most recent examples.
