Georgia Tech baseball earned themselves a huge series victory on Saturday afternoon as they took down No.7 Louisville 4-0. The victory comes a day after the Jackets were able to squeak out a 3-1 victory on Friday night.
Connor Thomas was the story of Saturday’s game for the Jackets as he dominated the Cardinals from start-to-finish. The left-hander pitched a complete game in the victory, striking out five while allowing just five hits and two walks. The win is his third of the season and his ERA dropped from 3.62 to 2.32 with the complete game shutout.
Offensively, the Jackets were able to get on base more than they were on Friday night but still struggled in bringing runners across the plate.
