Georgia Tech Baseball: Jackets offense stalls in 5-1 loss in Athens

Georgia Tech (16-14) couldn’t get the bats going on the road in Athens Tuesday night, managing only four hits in a 5-1 loss to the arch rival Georgia (15-19).

The Bulldogs got off to an early start, scoring three runs in the bottom of the first inning, and that would be all they would need for the eventual win.

Tech sent out five pitchers in the game, the loss going to Jonathan Hughes. He went only a third of an inning, giving up three runs on two hits and a walk.

The bullpen kept the damage to a minimum, only giving up two more runs, but the bats couldn’t rally back.
