Georgia Tech Baseball: Jackets get off on right foot in 2018 with 3-2 win over Minnesota

The Georgia Tech baseball team is officially 1-0 on the season after defeating the University of Minnesota 3-2 on Friday night. The Jackets looking to better their 2017 campaign record of 27-28 narrowly eked out their victory on Friday night.

Sophomore Xzavion Curry got his second consecutive opening day start for the Yellow Jackets and had a quality performance to start the season. Curry pitched five innings on Friday night, allowing two runs on three hits and four walks, he struck out three in the process.

Curry’s control which plagued it him at times in 2017 wasn’t as strong as head coach Danny Hall would like to see but it was enough to get the job done.
