Georgia Tech on Friday night found a way to beat one of the best teams in the country behind a strong pitching performance from junior Xzavion Curry. Curry pitched 8 strong innings, striking out 9 Cardinals while allowing just one run on one hit and two walks. He picked up his third win of the season while dropping his ERA to 2.91 on the season.
Louisville’s Reid Detmers had a terrific performance himself, allowing just two runs through 7.2 innings pitched. However, the Yellow Jackets were able to scratch just enough runs to hand Detmers his first loss of the season.
