Former Georgia Tech standout Charlie Blackmon, who has 18 homers for the Colorado Rockies, will represent his team in the Home Run Derby.
This year’s derby will take place Monday at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN prior to Tuesday night’s MLB All-Star Game.
Blackmon was a standout at Young Harris College before transferring to Georgia Tech, and was a member of the 2008 NCAA Athens Regional All-Tournament Team as well as an All-ACC Second Team selection the same season.
A second round pick in the 2008 MLB Draft by Colorado, the former Jacket has been with the big league Rockies since the 2011 season.
