Georgia Tech baseball signee Logan Simmons will have some decisions to make in the next few days. On Tuesday afternoon, the Macon, Georgia native was selected in the sixth round of this year’s MLB Draft by the Philadelphia Phillies. The estimated slot value of Simmons selection spot (167th overall) is $292,700.
Simmons who is finishing up his senior year at Tattnall Square Academy was drafted by the Phillies at shortstop. Simmons had a tremendous career at Tattnall, hitting .358 over 116 career games and averaged one hit per game.
Simmons’s sophomore and junior seasons put him on the map as a potential top prospect for this year’s draft.
