Georgia Tech B-back C.J. Leggett has been dismissed from the football team for a violation of team rules. The announcement was made in an e-mail Thursday.
Leggett had not played in his first two seasons on campus, redshirting in 2014 and missing the 2015 season after tearing his ACL in spring practice. He had been competing for a spot on the depth chart at B-back in the spring as his recovery from his knee injury continued.
Leggett was a highly-regarded prospect coming out of North Gwinnett High in 2014. He came close to playing in 2014, but the production of B-backs Zach Laskey and Synjyn Days preserved his redshirt.
