ESPN Asks ACC To Delay Launch Of Cable Channel For Conference

For years now, talks have been in the works for the ACC to have their own cable channel, similar to ones that the Pac-12, SEC and Big Ten all have. The launch has been delayed while conference officials continue to work with ESPN, who will run the channel, on getting everything in place.

Now, it appears that it might be even longer before the ACC Network will become a reality:

The cable giant has asked for the delay, according to Georgia Tech president G.P. “Bud” Peterson, who made the statement at last week’s Georgia Tech Athletic Association quarterly board meeting.
