Georgia Tech’s perfect season came to an end Saturday night in Raleigh, as the Yellow Jackets fell 48–36 to NC State. For the first time this year, Tech’s defense simply had no answers. It felt like the unit never got on the plane. The Wolfpack piled up 583 total yards and averaged 8.7 yards per play, turning almost every drive into a big-gain threat.
Georgia Tech entered the game at 8–0, ranked No. 8 in the nation, and unbeaten in ACC play. The loss drops them to 5–1 in the conference, which means the margin for error is now gone.
