Dennis Andrews No Longer At Georgia Tech

Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets head football coach Paul Johnson has informed reporters that A-back Dennis Andrews has been dismissed from the team. Johnson stated that the reason for Andrews’ dismissal was a violation of team rules. Ken Sugiura of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported the story.

Andrews put up modest numbers in two seasons at Georgia Tech, catching one pass for 37 yards and rushed for 246 yards on 28 carries. He was suspended for the Yellow Jackets’ first two games last season for violating the school’s student-athlete personal conduct policy.

His dismissal leaves Broderick Snoddy as Georgia Tech’s sole A-back, and he only appeared in 10 games last season before breaking his leg in a game against Clemson.
