Brooklyn Nets Power Forward Thaddeus Young Will Opt Out His Contract

Brooklyn Nets power forward Thaddeus Young has decided that he is going to test the free agent waters this offseason and will leave the team to become and unrestricted free agent.

Young is doing this while leaving $10.2 million dollars on the table for 2015-16.

The eight-year veteran started in Minnesota, and then was traded to Brooklyn during the season in a deal that sent then Nets power forward Kevin Garnett back to the Minnesota so that he may finish out his career with the team he broke into the league.

This is a calculated move by Young ,who is probably expecting to be able to get a longer deal, that pays him more than the $10.
