Thursday afternoon, broadcasting from Christ the King High School in Queens, New York, Jose Alvarado made a lot of Georgia Tech fans very happy. With his commitment to coach Pastner and the rest of the staff, he committed to being the first piece of a major rebuild underway in Atlanta.
Despite rumors Alvarado wanted to stay close to home, he ended up choosing the Jackets over Rutgers and Seton Hall. He also had interest from Syracuse, VCU, St. Johns, Baylor, Indiana, and others. When Jose took his official visit to Atlanta in August, he was blown away by the campus and facilities.
