D.J. White missed an opportunity to catch the notice of NFL scouts at the East-West Shrine Game, when he was sidelined by a hamstring injury. The former Georgia Tech cornerback will have another opportunity later this month at the NFL draft combine. He and former defensive tackle Adam Gotsis are both scheduled to take part in the pre-draft event in Indianapolis Feb. 23-29. The NFL released its list of 332 participants Thursday.
“It’s a great opportunity to get up there and show what I can do,” White said. “Not everyone gets that call, so I’m just blessed.”
On the first day of practice at the shrine game in January, White aggravated a hamstring injury that he had suffered about a week and a half earlier while training for pre-draft testing and was not able to return to practice for the rest of the week.
