With the NFL draft weekend in the review mirror several Yellow Jacket alumni have embarked onto the next stage of their football careers.
The Draftee
With the 15th pick of the 7th round, Georgia Tech’s all-time leading scorer, Harrison Butker, was drafted by the Carolina Panthers. Butker was the third kicker this year. His selection marks the 4th consecutive year that a Yellow Jacket has been drafted. Butker will have a very good shot at winning the Panthers’ kicking job. Their current kicker, Graham Gano, is coming off the worst season of his career and is entering the last year of his contract.
