Offensive Guard Shaq Mason was selected with the 131st pick of the Fourth Round by the New England Patriots in the 2015 NFL Draft.
Robert Kraft and Bill Belichick must feel that Mason can protect their “Golden Boy” quarterback Tom Brady at some point– or perhaps Jimmy Garoppolo when Brady finally decides to hang it up.
People see Mason as somewhat of a project at 6-foot-1, 311 pounds. They like his feet and how he is able to block in the running game, but it may take a season for him to fully understand the technique involved to block in the passing game.
