ATLANTA - Georgia State's women's basketball head coach Sharon Baldwin announced the signing of Walnatia Wright Friday. The 6'2 center is transferring to GSU after one season at Texas A&M.
A native of Augusta, Ga., Wright returns to the Peach State to join the Panthers as a redshirt senior. Wright played her high school ball at Laney in August where she averaged 18 points and 10 rebounds as a senior and was named second team All-Georgia in 2014.
Out of high school, Wright attended Midland JC and averaged 9.5 points and 7.7 rebounds in her first season.
