Women's Basketball Defeated by Yellow Jackets in Morning Showdown

ATLANTA - Tipping off at 11 a.m., Georgia State and Georgia Tech went head-to-head Tuesday with the Yellow Jackets coming out on top, 75-51.

Kierra Henry scored a career-high 17 points in the loss, going 6-for-11 from the floor and 4-for-6 from the free throw line. Henry also grabbed four rebounds, four assists and tallied four steals on defense. Madison Newby totaled 10 points and added a team-high seven rebounds and four assists.

The Yellow Jackets forced 28 turnovers and scored 17 fast-break points to bring down the Panthers. Georgia State was playing strong defense in the first half and was within four points of GT when the Yellow Jackets broke off a 17-2 run headed into halftime.
