ATLANTA - Georgia State's women's basketball head coach Sharon Baldwin announced the signing of Janessa Murphy this week. The 5'7 guard played two seasons at Tallahassee Community College.
Murphy averaged more than 10 points per game her sophomore season for the Eagles.She was an impressive 80% (60-80) from the free throw line and tallied double-digit points 18 times.
In her career at Tallahassee, Murphy totaled 556 points and 78 3-pointers in 23 starts, averaging 9.3 points per game.
“I'm really excited about welcoming Janessa back home and to our program. She's a top caliber, versatile guard that fits well with our up-tempo game and comes from a strong junior college program,” Baldwin said.
