Alysiah Whittaker proved it was as easy as 1, 2, 3 at the WCU Invitational. The Sun Belt coaches must have figured it was as easy as 1, 2, 3 to vote her the Sun Belt Conference Field Athlete of the Week, as announced today by the league office in New Orleans.
Busy Whittaker won the discus throw at Western Carolina with a heave of 48.92m (160-6) to easily win by six feet. That’s the third-longest throw in school history and she has the first and second as well. Her season best has her No. 19 in the NCAA East qualifying in this event and second best in the Sun Belt.
