LITTLE ROCK, ARK. – Georgia State ran into one of the Sun Belt’s best defensive teams and fell victim to a 59-32 drubbing Saturday.
The visitors from Atlanta struggled mightily in finding the basket, shooting just 12-of-46 (29%) from the field and 8-of-17 standing still at the free throw line (47.1%). Add in 18 turnovers and the results were alarming.
When Little Rock held GSU (8-11, 3-7) to four points in the first quarter and five in the second to take a 27-9 halftime lead, the record books came out to find the lowest score in GSU history.
