COLLEGE STATION, Texas - LaPorscha Wells will become the second Panther all-time to compete at the NCAA Indoor Championships Saturday in College Station. Wells will be competing in the weight throw after qualifying with a throw of 22.56m.
Wells recorded that throw back on Jan. 23 at the Emory Crossplex Invitational in Birmingham, Ala. The distance set a new school, meet, conference and facility record and at the time tied for longest in the NCAA this season. Wells will be just the second Panthers to compete at the NCAA Indoor Championship after Jenn Feenstra competed in the 5,000m back in 2002.
