Men's tennis standout Edward Tymes is the Center Parc Credit Union Student-Athlete of the Week after leading Georgia State to wins over Chattanooga and Stetson for the program's first 4-0 start since 2002.
Tymes, the junior from Midland, Ga., went undefeated in singles and doubles on the week. He is now 4-0 in singles on the season.
In Georgia State's 4-3 win over Chattanooga, Tymes won the clinching match at No. 3 singles, rallying to win the second set in a tiebreaker. He also won at No. 3 doubles to help the Panthers secure the doubles points.
