Track and Field Wraps Up Two-Day Florida Relays

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Georgia State's track and field team went up against some of the top athletes in the nation Friday and Saturday at the Pepsi Florida Relays.

For the second week in a row, LaPorscha Wells broke her own school record in the hammer throw. Wells placed second in the event with a throw of 65.39m which is four meters further than her throw last week at the Emory Classic. Entering the weekend's action, Wells' throw on Friday would rank second in the NCAA East Region this season and first in the conference.

Georgia State's 4x200m relay team (Zensha Tennyson, Jada Steward, Tyler Watson, Ravin Gilbert) also set a new GSU record with a time of 1:36.
