ATLANTA - Georgia State’s second outdoor track and field meet of the season ended with multiple top-five finishes and a new school record as the Panthers competed Friday at the Yellow Jacket Invitational.
Lauren Sims broke the Georgia State school record in the javelin with a throw of 39.51m Friday. Sims finished fourth in the event. Celebrating her birthday, Alysiah Whittaker finished second in the shot put with a throw of 15.28m.
Georgia State’s 4x100m relay team took home second place finishing with a time of 46.53. Notre Dame won first place with a time of 46.
