COLUMBIA, S.C. – Georgia State’s track and field team competed Friday and Saturday at the Weems Baskin Invitational hosted by South Carolina.
Going up against a large field that included Virginia Tech, Georgia Southern, Appalachian State and Coastal Carolina, GSU recorded three first-place finishes and seven top-four finishes at the meet.
3000m Steeplechase Invitational section:
1st place: Nuria Ramirez – 11:03.39 (#2 in Sun Belt)
2nd place: Jordan Townsley – 11:49.10
1500m Invitational section:
4th place: Angela Alonso – 4:37.87 (#2 in Sun Belt)
100m:
9th place: Gabrielle Irving – 11.
