STATESBORO – Conner Manning found Penny Hart for a 9-yard touchdown with 2:31 to play to lead Georgia State to a 21-17 come-from-behind win over Georgia Southern on Saturday afternoon at Paulson Stadium.
The pass completed a six-play, 31-yard drive that started when Georgia Southern’s Wesley Fields fumbled the ball and it was picked up by James Traylor with just over five minutes to play.
Hart finished the game with eight catches for a school-record 191 yards, including a 70-yard reception that set up the Panthers second touchdown.
Manning went 22-for-37 for 319 yards and two touchdowns with Glenn Smith on the receiving end of eight of those completions.
