Three Records Fall at SBC Outdoor Championships

ARLINGTON, Texas - Georgia State's track and field team saw three records fall this weekend on its way to a seventh-place finish at the 2017 Outdoor Track and Field Sun Belt Championships in Arlington, Texas.

LaPorscha Wells won the hammer shattering the six-year old championship and Sun Belt record. Her throw of 64.84m (212'9") outdistanced the nearest competitor by 19 feet and was just off her season best of 65.39m. It was Wells' third consecutive Sun Belt hammer title. Wells is currently qualified to compete in the NCAA East Regional in the Hammer and Shot Put.
