ATLANTA – Georgia State men's soccer, softball and women's golf were acknowledged among the top 10 percent of the teams in the country for their multiyear Academic Progress Rate (APR) announced by the NCAA on Wednesday.
It marks the third-straight year that softball has been acknowledged among the top 10 percent. Each time program scored a perfect 1,000.
This is the third time softball has been honored, while the first time for men's soccer and women's golf. Eight different Georgia State programs have been recognized since the awards started to be announced.
This year, 1,203 teams are being recognized for academic performance: 746 women's teams and 457 men's teams or co-ed teams.
